Born at the end of the war, Yvonne studied English and Drama at Goldsmiths College. There she met and married art student and musician Neil Innes – one of the newly formed Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band.  They had three boys, Miles, Luke and Barney, and Yvonne retrained as a garden designer, building up a successful landscape practice. She worked at Friar Park for many years and on Henry Moore’s wife Irena’s garden at Much Hadham, and was Designer of the ‘Garden for George’ at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2008. In recent years, she toured with Neil around America, Australia, and New Zealand, organising gigs and writing blogs for his fans. Yvonne and Neil later went to live in France where sadly Neil died in 2019. The emotional turmoil of his death inspired Yvonne to write a book about their lives together involving many of the musical and comedic luminaries of the 60s.
