CAMILLA BALSHAW
Camilla Balshaw writes fiction and non-fiction. Her writing has been featured in The Guardian, Observer and Gal-dem. Her fiction has been published in BrainChild, an anthology of experimental short fiction and her work has been longlisted for a number of competitions. In 2020 Camilla’s memoir in progress was shortlisted for Penguin Random House’s WriteNow programme, which aims to discover and nurture new writers from under-represented communities. Born and raised in Luton, she has lived in Tokyo, London and Cambridge. Camilla studied Drama and History at university. She has a PGCE from the Institute of Education and for a number of years taught drama and theatre studies in schools and colleges around the UK. She has an MA (Distinction) in Creative & Life Writing from Goldsmiths. When she is not reading or writing, Camilla practises and teaches Iyengar Yoga.
She lives in rural Norfolk.
