 Laxfield Literary Associates is committed to supporting and developing the local literary scene, and to working with local schools and universities.

In partnership with The Halesworth Bookshop, we organise the annual Low House Litfest at our wonderful village pub, the Low House.

We aim to make the Litfest inclusive, accessible and welcoming to all. We have a policy of free and unticketed entry (although book sales are encouraged!).  

  In 2019, our guest authors included Frank Gardner, Melissa Harrison, Lucy Hughes-Hallett, Leye Adenle, India Knight and Zeb Soanes.

In 2021, we welcomed guests including Lesley Dolphin, Esther Freud, Wendy Holden, Charlie Haylock, Lesley Kara, Richard Mabey, Phoebe Morgan and Gaby Wood.
